Zenobia Company in the US is recalling certain packages of MY Spice Sage Cumin Ground as they may contain peanut protein which is not mentioned on the label.
The products associated with the recall include 1 oz, 4 oz, 4.9 oz, 16 oz packages of MY Spice Sage Cumin Ground bearing UPC codes 00105001, 00105004, 00105000, and 00105016 respectively.
The recall also includes 50 pound package of MY Spice Sage Cumin Ground.
It has been initiated after the company was notified by its supplier, who has unknowingly shipped the Cumin Ground containing peanut protein.
All the recalled products are sold in resealable plastic bags, except the 50 lb bag.
Consumption of the recalled products may cause serious or life-threatening reaction in people allergic to peanuts.
However, no illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of the recalled products.
