US-based dairy distributor Balford Farms is planning to acquire Rosenberger's Dairy in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, for an undisclosed amount.
Expected to be completed by the end of October, the acquisition will enable Balford Farms to expand its distribution business in the region.
Rosenberger's bottling and production operations in the region will be halted and will be shifted to other processing plants in the area.
However, Balford Farms will continue operating Rosenberger's existing warehouse and distribution sites in Hatfield, Bristol Township and York.
Balford Farms president Larry Bowes said: "Although production and bottling will cease at the Hatfield facility, our intention is to keep the beloved Rosenberger's products in the area and continue the tradition of offering consumers the same quality and service that has made the Rosenberger's brand so popular."
