Child-Resistant Bottle Cap Over Malfunctioning Is Recalled by Novartis Consumer Health

US-based Novartis Consumer Health, (NCH) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Triaminic Syrups and Theraflu Warming Relief Syrups, which were manufactured in the US prior to 31 December 2011.

The company has decided to issue a voluntary recall to consumers, retail customers and wholesalers in the US, due to the malfunctioning of the child-resistant feature of the bottle cap, which has enabled removal of the cap though tamper-evident seal remained intact.

According to the company, the recalled bottles lot number is located on the bottom panel of the box and on the left side of the label, and its NDC number is located on the upper right corner of the front panel of the box for Triaminic, and the upper left corner of the front of the bottle for Theraflu.

Novartis Consumer Health is instructing its consumers, retail partners and wholesalers to return the products for a full refund.
