Crum & Forster, an insurance group and a part of Fairfax Financial Holdings, has named Ahmed (Abe) Yaknour as the company’s chief technology officer.
Yaknour will manage the architecture of the company's infrastructure, as well as all network and desktop management, the insurer said.
Based at the Morristown corporate office, Yaknour will report to executive vice president Steve Mulready.
Yaknour also retains his position as vice president & chief information officer for Seneca Insurance, a Crum & Forster subsidiary based in New York.
Steve Mulready said, "Abe brings a strong background of IT and systems technology experience to this role. And, having been part of the C&F organization for over 10 years, Abe has an understanding of Crum & Forster's technology capabilities."
"He will be working in conjunction with Nicole Bennett, C&F's Chief Information Officer, to frame the company's infrastructure, simplify the technology platforms across the C&F organizations, and develop the appropriate technology strategy for the company going forward."
Crum & Forster is a registered trademark of US Fire Insurance Company, whereas Seneca Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of Crum & Forster Group.
