US-based SGS International, a provider of design-to-print graphics services to the consumer products packaging industry, has acquired Stevenson Color through its wholly owned subsidiary, Southern Graphic Systems, for an undisclosed sum.
US-based Stevenson Color, founded in 1926, Cincinnati, Ohio, is a provider of graphics services to consumer products companies and retailers. It employs more than 170 people.
SGS International president & CEO Hank Baughman said SGS's interest in Stevenson Color was driven by its leadership, workforce culture and the unique value proposition offered by it to the retail market.
"SGS and Stevenson Color share guiding principles in that we are intensely focused on the customer and exceeding customer expectations is our number one priority," Baughman said.
Stevenson Color will continue to operate under current name and will be led by president Tom Stevenson, and executive vice president Andy Stevenson.
SGS International is a portfolio company of Onex Partners III LP/Onex which acquired SGS International from Court Square Capital Partners on October 17, 2012.
