UK-based Biopac has announced the launch of its new heavy duty soup containers in two fully compostable versions targeted at catering outlets.
The plain containers are lined with a starch based material and are 100% compostable. They are high temperature tolerant, suitable for hot foods such as soup and are available in 12oz and 16oz with a fully compostable vented lid to fit each size.
Biopac technical director Mark Brigden said by offering products such as the new soup containers the company can help reduce the amount of waste going into landfill.
"The soup containers are ideal for cafes, festivals and outdoor events, as well as general foodservice. They can also be used for other foods such as ice cream and yoghurt," Brigden added.
Biopac also offers a bespoke design service for companies which wish to have their logo printed, in up to five colors.
