Thomas Ridley Foodservice Has Acquired The Elveden Food Hub

UK’s Thomas Ridley Foodservice has acquired the Elveden Food Hub, which was part of the Earl of Iveagh’s Elveden Farms business.

The financial details of the acquisition have not been declared.

With this acquisition, the local food distribution operations of Elveden Food Hub will be part of Thomas Ridley Foodservice, enriching its existing business.

This agreement also covers the acquisition of East Anglia's largest wholesaler, the Tastes of Anglia trading business.

Thomas Ridley Foodservice director Rachel Summers said: "This acquisition is an exciting move complementing our existing foodservice offering, and broadening our range of specialist ingredients and regional goods.

We see this an opportunity for us to work closely with the suppliers to expand their market and distribute local and regional goods further afield."

Thomas Ridley plans to combine the acquired business into its one-stop-shop foodservice operation and will offer a complete network for smaller local and regional food suppliers and producers to retailers, restaurants and all other catering establishments throughout the east and south east, the company stated.
