Journal Sentinel reported that Charter Manufacturing Co, of Mequon, has acquired an Illinois company that makes iron bar products.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Charter said that it has acquired Dura-Bar and Dura-Bar Metal Services as part of its stock purchase of Illinois based Wells Manufacturing Co.
Dura-Bar's products include cast iron bar stock and bronze alloys.
Charter's products include steel bars, rod and wire.
Wells has about 360 employees at its Dura-Bar facilities in Woodstock, in Ill, York in Pa, Salisbury in NC and Changzhou in China.
Charter has operations in Milwaukee, Ohio, the United Kingdom and China. It has about 1,500 employees.
