Linpac Packaging Has Announced That It Has Won a Major Contract

Linpac Packaging has announced that it has won a major contract to supply one of Poland's well-known meat processing companies with more than 100m polystyrene trays a year,

The firm's site in Bukowice, Poland will supply trays to Pini Polonia, one of the region's largest meat processors.

Adam Barnett, vice president of sales, said: "This is a significant new business win for our team at Bukowice, and underscores how our Fresh Thinking philosophy can deliver solutions which help our customers.

"Working in partnership with the team at Pini Polonia we will deliver more than 100m trays to ensure their products are packaged to best protect, preserve and present their wide range of pork products."

In a statement, Linpac said that Pini Polonia, which commenced its Polish operations in 2010, is currently one of the most modern meat processing plants in Poland, which can process the slaughter and preparation of more than 1,000 pigs an hour.

Based at Wschodnia, central Poland, the Pini Polonia plant products are approved for export to all EU countries, Ukraine, CIS countries, Japan, South Korea, Hong-Kong and New Zealand. The plant is in the process of obtaining permissions for export to USA, Canada, China, Philippines and Australia.
