Packaging company in the US, NNZ is set to introduce its new consumer friendly Snack Fresh packaging that comes in portion controlled sizes. Compared to traditional clamshell packaging, it occupies considerably less retail shelf space, cooler space and distribution channel space.
The new grab and go, merchandisable Snack Fresh package is suitable for fresh picked berries, grape tomatoes, grapes, baby carrots or baby sweet peppers and is packed in display ready transport boxes.
According to the company, the package is made from 100% sustainable and renewable sources and is expected to increase consumption of small fresh fruits and vegetables. It could also be used to help consumers make better health choices for snacks, especially for kids.
The Snack Fresh package has the height to footprint ratio, combined with the stackable retail transport box and offers an economy of scale enabling transportation of more units per pallet.
Its footprint has been designed to deliver twice as much product per foot of retail shelf space as conventional clamshells.
