Japanese automotive company Nissan Motor has reported year-to-date sales of 414,406 units across 13 European countries in August 2013.
The company has retained its 3.2% market share, selling 37,725 units across Europe in the month of August 2013.
Nissan's key markets in Europe recorded an increase in sales. While Germany, Ukraine and Holland all recorded an increase in sales, Denmark and Finland recorded sales rise of 61% and 7% respectively.
The company has recorded an increase of 40% in August sales across Russia, compared to the sales in April 2013.
Norway has recorded a 42% increase in year-to-date sales and an 8% increase against this time last year. Germany sold 7% more units in August 2013 compared to last month.
Brands of the company including, Qashqai and Juke have recorded sales of 22,762 units this month, with Qashqai sales up by 18% compared to the same period last year. The revamped Nissan Micra was the third best-selling Nissan car this month, while the 100% electric Nissan LEAF recording sales rise of 145% compared to August 2012.
Nissan Europe sales operations vice president Raoul Picello said: "Nissan continues to put in a solid performance in Europe, and recent product innovations such as the newly refreshed small car segment have helped to deflect some of the difficult market conditions our industry has faced."
