Skoda Has Started The Operations at Its Modified Parts Center

Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda has started the operations at its modified parts center in Mlada Boleslav.

The company had invested EUR31.8m to modify the parts center, which houses the fully automatic and high-rack warehouse.

According to the company, the center can manage about 25,000 deliveries per day and is a part of the global supply of Genuine Parts and Accessories for Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi and Seat Group brands.

As part of the modification, the footprint of the facility was doubled from 50,000sqm to over 100,000sqm and is claimed to be the largest Genuine Parts Centre in Czech Republic.

Skoda Sales and Marketing board member Werner Eichhorn said the Parts Center is an important element in the company's and the Group's plans for growth.

"Through this extensive expansion and modernization, we can quickly, efficiently and competently serve the increasing demand for parts and accessories," Eichhorn said.

Skoda Genuine Parts and Accessories head Roman Havlasek said: "We will have increased our range of parts and accessories by almost 50% to 214,000 items before 2018."
