The DIY-Superstore Sales Channel B&Q Intends to Tighten up Its Organisational Structure

The DIY-superstore sales channel B&Q, owned by Kingfisher, intends to tighten up its organisational structure and in the process axe roughly 220 of the current roughly 1,200 work force at its headquarters in Eastleigh, the British magazine DIY Week reports. The affected employees had already been informed at the beginning of October 2012. During the course of restructuring, the company has created roughly 100 new functions at its headquarters. The restructuring measures had evidently been planned a long time back and are not associated with the recent declining trends in turnover and results of the sales channel. The report also states that various jobs at Kingfisher itself are also evidently under scrutiny at the present time.
