GSC Packaging Plan to Boost Its Production Capacity

GSC Packaging, a US-based provider of turnkey contract packaging solutions, has transferred its operations to a new facility in order to boost its production capacity.

GSC Packaging has shifted from its previous location at 3715 Atlanta Industrial Parkway to the new location at 575 Wharton Drive in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to the company, the new site doubles its food contract packaging facility space to keep up with its rapid growth and demand.

The new production facility, which is spread over an area of about 100,000ft2, consists of 15 production lines such as seven horizontal form/fill/seal lines, three six-lane stick pack packaging lines, as well as various semi-automatic, large format automatic, and secondary packaging and kitting lines. It also features layout and design, advanced air-handling technology, lot code tracking, real-time computerized inventory control, dust control and air-conditioned storage.

In addition, the Atlanta location provides food manufacturers with strategic national distribution capabilities.

GSC Packaging CEO Bob Shapiro said that the new packaging facility showcases the company's commitment towards providing packaging services to the food manufacturers.

Sanford Epstein and Associates, PC, Architects, have renovated the facility into an advanced and custom food contract packaging facility. The operations at this facility have commenced.

GSC Packaging provides food contract packaging and secondary packaging solutions for powdered food products, drink mixes, supplements, and diet products. The company specializes in stick packs, pouches, large format pouches, vertical form fill seal pouches, and horizontal form fill seal pouches, among other popular flexible pouch formats.
