US based automaker Chevrolet has unveiled the Sail Sedan that is scheduled go on sale in India later in 2013.
The car is available with two engine variants, a 1.3L SDE Smartech commonrail four-cylinder diesel engine that is expected to generate an output of 78ps (57kW) and 205Nm (151lbft) of torque.
The petrol version comes with a 1.2L petrol engine that gives an output of 86hp (63kW) and 113Nm (83lbft) of torque at 5,000 rpm.
Features of the sedan include the anti-lock braking system (ABS), EBD, airbags, side impact beams, collapsible steering system, speed-sensitive and automatic door locks.
Additionally, the car comes with a dual-cockpit layout, a horizon view dashboard, leg room, boot-space and rear-seat armrest.
General Motors also plans to launch the Chevrolet Enjoy multi purpose vehicle (MPV) powered by a 1.4L, 1,399cc, petrol engine in India by the first quarter of 2013.
