Westag & Getalit Posted Better Performances by All Three of Its Divisions Again in 2011

Westag & Getalit posted better performances by all three of its divisions again in 2011. According to its annual report, the doors and frames division outperformed the laminates and elements and plywood and formwork divisions in terms of revenue growth. Its turnover jumped 5.5% to €109.4m last year. Revenues from laminates and elements operations edged 2% higher to stand at €75.7m in 2011. This figure was again below the levels recorded in 2007 (€81.7m) and 2008 (€83.6m). This division's turnover dropped to €69.8m in 2009. The plywood and formwork division encountered similar fortunes in the past few years. Revenues declined from €51m in 2007 to €46.2m in 2008 before tumbling to €31.8m in 2009. The last two years produced a minor recovery: Turnover totalled €31.8m in 2010 and €34.9m in 2011. On the other hand, the doors and frames division has enjoyed steady growth in recent years.
