Volkswagen of America has reported sales of 314,833 units for the first nine months in 2013, down by 2.6% from the same period in 2012.
The company has delivered 31,920 units in September 2013 across the US.
Chattanooga-built Passat recorded sale of 7,900 units, the Jetta model including the SportWagen sold 13,309 units and other models including Beetle sold 3,554 units IN September.AS
Tiguan posted a sale of 2,406 units, Golf including Golf R and GTI recorded 2,127 sale and Touareg sold 658 units.
Volkswagen of America chief operating officer Mark McNabb said that while September was an expectedly tough month for the industry, Volkswagen is seeing some stability.
"As we enter the last quarter of the year, I'm confident we can maintain this pace as our product mix improves and we increase the availability of our 2014 model year vehicles," McNabb added.
