Glanbia Nutritionals Ingredient Technologies is set to establish a cereal ingredient processing facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, US.
The new 40,000ft2 facility will produce MeadowPure Quality whole and milled flaxseed ingredients, seed and grain products for the food and beverage industries. It will replace the company's facility in Manitoba, Canada, that was damaged by a fire in March 2012.
The plant is expected to go onstream in July this year and will initially employ about 40 people.
Glanbia Nutritionals manufactures and sells nutritional and functional ingredients to the food, beverage, supplement, and animal nutrition industries. Glanbia has over 4,300 employees worldwide, with manufacturing facilities in seven countries.
