ThyssenKrupp Released Bids in for Its Steel Mills in Brazil and The United States

Reportedly, ThyssenKrupp released bids in for its steel mills in Brazil and the United States.

Heinrich Hiesinger, the CEO of ThyssenKrupp has declined to comment on the prices. The deadline for final bids was in February.

The world’s big steel companies such as Japan’s JFE steel and U.S. steel, ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel have team up to make a joint bid.

The estimated value of the Steel Americas units was US$5.1 billion.

Hit by cost overruns, poor project management and weak demand, ThyssenKrupp planned to cut markets with two mills in Brazil and the US.
