Carefour Recalls Beng-Beng Chocolate Bars From Asian Grocery Stores in Australia

Carefour has recalled boxes of ‘beng-beng’ Chocolate Bars from Asian grocery stores in Australia due to the presence of undeclared milk and soy, according to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).

The product, a wafer caramel chocolate bar, was sold in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. It was sold in Red and yellow cardboard box (500g), and has a best before date of January 2014. The product's country of origin is Indonesia.

Consumers who have a milk or soy allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.

The agency has urged consumers who have a milk or soy allergy or intolerance not to consume this product and to return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
