Dutch dairy giant FrieslandCampina has entered into a joint venture with French dairy processor Bongrain to sell branded cheese products in France.
The joint venture,which will take effect from 1 January,will have"limited scope",FrieslandCampina said.
However, the Dutch firm said the venture will produce FrieslandCampina-branded cheese.
The company claimed it will contribute its"expertise"in hard and semi-hard cheese production, while Bongrain will offer its knowledge of the French market.
Earlier this month,FrieslandCampina announced plans to cut over 200 jobs across its business in Germany in a bid to"improve competitiveness".
