Stryker Inked an Exclusive Sales Partnership with Samsung Subsidiary NeuroLogica

Stryker Corp. recently announced that it has inked an exclusive sales partnership with Samsung subsidiary NeuroLogica, which has a full body, portable CT scanner.

Stryker will promote and sell NeuroLogica's BodyTom portable full body CT scanner. The scanner can be used in neurosurgery, spine surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and trauma surgery in conjunction with the Stryker NAV3i Surgical Navigation Platform. NeuroLogica has been touting the BodyTom as the world's first portable, 32-slice full body CT scanner.

The Body Tom has an 85-centimeter gantry and 60-centimeter field of view, and can be carried throughout a hospital to assist in the guidance of instruments during minimally invasive surgical procedures.

"Stryker Navigation and NeuroLogica share a commitment to offering the most advanced technologies to assist surgeons in the operating theater and deliver better outcomes for their patients," says Derek Babin, marketing director for Stryker Navigation. "We are excited to partner with NeuroLogica to provide streamlined and integrated surgical solutions to our customers that will enhance the surgeon experience and simplify the purchasing process for hospitals."

With Stryker's support, NeuroLogica will turn its focus on the development of new markets and clinical applications for BodyTom along with its other portable imaging solutions, CereTom and inSPira HD.
