Bemis Europe, a division of Bemis, has developed new shrink bag, ClearShield PRO, to protect bone-in and hard surface cuts of meat.
The company has designed the bag for beef, lamb, pork and processed meat producers to reduce high leaker rates and the use of bone guard.
With extremely high puncture and abrasion resistance, ClearShield PRO is a PVdC-free fully coextruded bag that offers surface protection, according to the company.
Bemis noted that it will out-perform competing coextruded bags delivering packing efficiency through fewer repacks.
The bag's high clarity, gloss, printability, and good contouring characteristics provide a striking product presentation and makes suitable for retail applications.
To further enhance appearance, a range of seal types is available, noted Bemis.
