Precision Press Plans to Set up a New Goss Sunday Vpak Web Offset Printing System

US-based food packaging and labeling firm Precision Press plans to set up a new Goss Sunday Vpak web offset printing system for flexible packaging applications at the 213,000ft2 North Mankato facility by the end of 2012.

The new configuration of the packaging application will be comprised of the Sunday Vpak 500 web offset printing units and Goss in-line coating and flexo unit.

According to Precision Press, high offset print quality, lower production costs and quick-change sleeve technology prompted them to invest in the press, which can print up to 1,200 ft per minute.

Sunday Vpak presses are an extension of Goss capabilities, including high-quality lithography and advanced system integration.

Precision Press offers a range of flexible packaging as well as in-mold, shrink sleeve, roll-fed and cut-and-stack labels which help in identification of food, beverage and consumer products.

Goss International president and CEO Jochen Meissner said Precision Press is capable of delivering differentiated packaging and label capabilities.

"We appreciate this opportunity to support the company's ongoing commitment to cutting-edge offset technology." added Meissner.
