Closure Systems International (CSI) has introduced its new Econo-Lok mini linerless closure, which has been engineered to meet standard performance requirements for carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and bottled water applications.
According to the US-based company, the new ultra-lightweight 28mm closure, weighs less than two grams and is designed for use on both CSD and bottled water beverages.
Econo-Lok mini's ergonomic 120-knurl outside provides a smooth but firm grip that delivers ease of opening for consumers and brand interchangeability for bottlers. It combines the 1881 short-height finish material reduction savings with a lightweight one-piece closure design.
The versatile closure made of organoleptic resin material features a tough seal that meets CO2 performance requirements and comes with a secure tamper evidence system.
It can be used on PET package sizes ranging from as small as 250ml to as large as 3l bottles and its trouble-free application performance helps to deliver the lowest total cost of operations.
