Shamrock Announces The Expansion of Production Capacity

Shamrock Specialty Packaging has announced the expansion of its production capacity at its Ciudad Juarez, Mexico manufacturing plant.

The company's operations in Mexico are conducted under the support of the Tecma Group of Companies' Mexico Shelter Manufacturing Partnership (MSMP).

The plant, which was initially established in 2007 and consisted of 12,000ft2 of manufacturing space, now occupies 28,000ft2 post expansion.

According to the US-based company, the facility manufactures corrugated packaging, partitions, build ups, pads and inserts, as well as produce die cuts and single, double and triple wall cartons.

Shamrock Specialty Packaging president Jim Owens said its decision to set up a manufacturing plant initially in Mexico was a good one for the organization.

"Ciudad Juarez has evidenced itself as an increasingly attractive market for our products, and our partnership with the Tecma Group of Companies has enabled us to capitalize on the potential that it continues to offer," Owens said.

Tecma Group provides comprehensive services enabling organizations to start-up and grow their manufacturing operations in Mexico.
