Renault Trucks has announced the launch of Renault Trucks D Wide CNG, which is fitted with the new 9L Euro 6-gas engine.
The Euro 6 NGT9 6 cylinder engine is capable of generating 320 hp and pumping 1,356 Nm of torque.
The engine is available in two configurations including 19 t 4x2 and a 26 t 6x2.
According to Renault, the D Wide CNG Euro 6 is expected to perform equally well on natural gas and bio-methane fuel (biogas).
The company also highlighted that the vehicles running on CNG bio-methane are capable of reducing CO2 emissions when compared to diesel vehicle.
The Renault Trucks D Wide CNG Euro 6 features an automatic Allison series 3200 gearbox, which automatically switches from neutral to driving mode, allowing the driver to activate the truck without manually change into neutral.
Renault is also offering the vehicle in two fuel tank capacities including a 800 L of gas compressed to 120 kg of gas in eight tanks, or 600 L of gas compressed to 90 kg of gas using six tanks.
Renault said: "Like Renault Trucks' Diesel vehicles, the D Wide CNG is produced at Blainville-sur-Orne in the Calvados Déparetment of France.
"The vehicle is also serviced and maintained by the Renault Trucks network throughout Europe."
