Airfix has released a new paid-for app game which it says will help lead more customers to buy the physical kits.
The Airfix Tanks app - for Apple and Android mobile devices - comes in both full-game 69p and free 'Lite' varieties.
It's Hornby's second foray into the app market with its Airfix brand, following last year's popular Airfix Dogfight game. Both games were produced and marketed by Sabec.
Airfix Tanks has 16 levels and features 3D shooter gameplay. ToyNews played through the first few levels and we have to say, we're impressed.
Darrell Burge, Marketing Manager for Airfix, said: “Having these great game apps out there takes the Airfix brand to a new consumer, which can only lead to more customers for our superb kit range. Not only that, they’re great to play too."
