Ford has unveiled an advanced version of its flagship Mustang at the opening ceremony of Ford’s new business unit in Middle East and Africa.
The car will be available in two engine variants which include a turbocharged EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine and a 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of producing up to 420 horsepower.
The company claims that the car has advanced driver-assist technology and connectivity systems to improve driving experience and enhance safety.
The car was introduced as a part of Ford's Middle East & African business unit expansion, which now covers the 67 markets in North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Middle East regions.
The company expects sales in Middle East & Africa to grow up to 40% by 2020 and it is planning to introduce 25 vehicles in region by 2016.
Ford executive chairman Bill Ford said "Today we planted the Ford flag in the Middle East & Africa, an exciting, vibrant region that represents the final frontier for growth in the auto industry.
"We also sent a message to the world that Mustang is going global after 50 years as America's greatest motoring icon."
