Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shijiazhuang Iron & Steel Co., a subsidiary of major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group, exported 321,000 mt of finished steel in 2012, increasing by 8.75 percent year on year, as announced by Hebei Iron and Steel Group on January 16. The export volume was the highest recorded by Shijiazhuang Steel since 2008 when the global financial crisis started.
