ConAgra Foods is recalling PF Chang's Home Menu Pork and Leek Dumpling frozen appetizer, as the product may contain crustacean shellfish (shrimp) and fish (pollock), which are not mentioned on the labeling.
Recalled product includes 12.5oz (354g) PF Chang's Home Menu Pork and Leek Dumpling, featuring UPC: 0 36200 21215 8; date codes of use by MAY082014, use by MAY092014; EST 21892 and lot codes 0663 312871 and 0663 312971.
The products, manufactured from 8 May 2013 through 9 May 2013, were distributed to retail establishments in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Packaging of the product indicates that it is distributed by New Jersey-based Unilever, as it produces the PF Chang's Home Menu Pork and Leek Dumpling Frozen Appetizers for retail sale by ConAgra Foods.
The problem was identified after a consumer complaint. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the product.
Consumers intolerant to crustacean shellfish (shrimp) and fish (pollock) have been advised not to eat the product.
ConAgra Foods is working with retailers to ensure that the recalled products are removed from store shelves.
