Target Health and LifeOnKey have own Israel-United States Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation award to integrate the EMR with the electronic data capture (EDC) clinical trial database.
The two-year award worth $900,000 is entitled, 'EMR/EDC HUB - An Electronic Bridge between Medicine and Science'.
Target Health President Dr. Jules Mitchel said, "With over 20 years of clinical trial and clinical trial information systems developed and implemented at Target Health, coupled with the state-of-the-art Health Management Platform offered by LifeOnKey, this partnership is the first of its kind in the field of Clinical Trials."
The integration of the LifeOnKey EHR with the Target e*CRF EDC system and new applications to be developed will be in compliance with FDA's rules and regulations.
Regulations include the maintenance of original source records by clinical research investigator, source data modification with the approval of investigator, pharmaceutical company sponsor does not possess exclusive control of source data and maintenance of clinical trial data and registries used as a tool for post marketing surveillance in a single platform.
