Dairy Queen has relaunched Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Blizzard Treat, just in time for fall.
Milk chocolate Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are blended with creamy DQ vanilla soft serve to create an irresistible flavor combination. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Blizzard Treat is the featured Blizzard Treat in November and is available in four sizes, including the popular Mini, as well as in a waffle cone.
"We continue to roll out unique flavors that set us apart each time we serve a Blizzard Treat upside-down," said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). "This Blizzard Treat flavor always comes up on a list of fan favorites and it's easy to see why. You can't beat the combination of chocolate, peanut butter and our signature soft serve."
Many Blizzard Treat flavors, including Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, can easily be made into DQ Cakes which are perfect for Thanksgiving and other special events, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
The Dairy Queen system began blending simple combinations of cookies, chocolates, nuts, fruits and candies with DQ soft serve in 1985 to create the signature Blizzard Treat. The iconic treat has created the served upside-down Blizzard culture and since then, one-of-a-kind flavors such as Chocolate Candy Shop and Confetti Cake have delighted Dairy Queen fans as part of the featured Blizzard of the Month program, which began in 2003.
