This year, Meishan Steel will implement 12 projects to accelerate the pace of green manufacturing and further improve the quality of environment.
This year, Meishan Steel's fund investment and project arrangement implementation for environmentally friendly construction increase 30% and 20% in number respectively compared with same period last year. Of the 12 environmental projects, 3 will be completed next year and 9 will be completed this year. Among them "No.1 and No.3 boiler new flue gas denitrification facilities" project, which accounts for 55% of the total funding of the year, through building a set of selective catalytic reduction flue gas denitrification technology critical facilities, achieves the goal of reducing NOx emission by 2940 tons annually.
In addition, with "No. 2 blast furnace area environmental remediation"'s implementation and putting into operation, it will produce a series of expected effectiveness such as effectively inhibiting operation dust, eliminating regional dust fugitive emission, improving regional environment and reducing emission concentration.
