Allianz Life Insurance of North America (Allianz Life) has appointed Paul Salm as the new assistant vice president of compensation for Human Resources and will report to Mike Hope the vice president of HR services for Allianz of America.
Under the new role, he will manage compensation and employee recognition to support client and business strategies, the underwriter said.
Additionally, Salm will also oversee compensation programs for over 4,800 employees across Allianz of America, which includes Allianz Life and Fireman's Fund Insurance.
"Paul has great experience in crafting business strategies to address shifts in our industry," Hope said.
"With his extensive experience in Human Resources management, organizational design, and change management, Paul's impact will reach across the U.S. operations of Allianz of America and his leadership will be essential to strengthening our compensation structure."
Prior to accepting to the new role, Salm was acting as a senior director in HR, advising on key strategies of implementing organizational change and leadership development, executive integration and compensation design, the firm said.
Prior to this, he worked as a senior HR manager for CUNA Mutual Group out of Madison.
