Tetra Pak, a Switzerland-based provider of food processing and packaging solutions, has introduced three new products required for the processing of prepared foods such as fruit preparations, soups and sauces, baby food, tomato products and desserts.
The new products include Tetra Albatch 1, High hygiene tank and Tetra Therm.
Tetra Albatch 1 is a new processing tank for fruit preparation production and pre-treatment of foods before they are transferred to a continuous production process; and the new high hygiene tank maintains standards of product quality and safety, with sterile air flowing over the product to prevent contamination, separate inlets and outlets to minimize product retention time, and slow paddle-type agitation to protect particle integrity and ensure even distribution.
The Tetra Therm for infant formula unit uses UHT heat treatment immediately before the product enters the spray dryer, by lowering the level of microorganisms. This unit also has dual heating systems, extending run time by allowing it to continue to operate on one system while the second is being cleaned.
