Chicago-based Kronos Foods has signed a licensing agreement with Meyer Family Farms in Adams County, Illinois, to market, sell and distribute frozen pomegranate arils.
With this agreement, Kronos Foods will be able to offer pomegranate arils on a year round basis to the retail industry, foodservice professionals and the culinary community.
Kronos Foods CEO Howard Eirinberg said: "There is a large and untapped year round demand for frozen pomegranates arils and pomegranate arils blended with other fruits.

Kronos will deliver organic and non-organic arils nationwide to supermarkets, specialty grocers, and club and foodservice customers under the Perfect Gems brand name.
The company will also sell the product under private labels for retailers who are interested in marketing the fruit to consumers.
The Kronos pomegranate aril products include 7oz pomegranate arils, 9.5oz blueberry and pomegranate aril blend, 26oz bulk arils, 26oz bulk organic arils and 5lb bulk arils.
