Multivac is set to introduce a new packaging solution for sensitive pharmaceutical and biotech products. The solution, based on a thermoforming packaging machine has a completely new machine concept and is designed for applications that require packaging flexibility.
The company has separated the areas to a considerable extent for product processing and machine technology from each other in the new thermoforming packaging machine, which has been designed for secure line clearance.
Multivac said the system has been extended to the complete cutting tools that are usually used for the single-piece cutting of the sealed packs in pharmaceutical applications.
Multivac offers a wide range of handling modules to remove the packs directly out of the cutting tool and to place them into the outer carton. The user-friendly line-motion control through the HMI 2.0 operator interface, as well as the sensitive sensor technology of the machines, ensure that product quality is maintained.
The track-and-trace function allows Multivac to meet the serialization and marking requirements of individual countries, the company said.
Besides, the company will also unveil its Clean Design concept, which ensures that cleaning of the machine can be carried out simply and in compliance with GMP. With the new concept, niches or blind spots, in which products might be caught without being detected, have been systematically minimized.
The concept also ensures the complete documentation and traceability of the packaging procedures, alongside preventing the loss of the products being packed.
