HSBC Middle East has inked an exclusive agreement with Zurich Insurance Middle East for distribution of its personal and commercial general insurance products in the UAE over the next ten years.
Involving distribution in other Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets in future, the agreement covers all of Zurich's General Insurance personal product lines, and enables HSBC customers to access Motor, Home Contents and Travel insurance, and Zurich's full commercial insurance solutions suite.
Besides enabling the company's Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) business in MENA to build specialist expertise in General Insurance, the agreement also offers a consistent experience to its customers, together with its Life Insurance expertise.
HSBC Middle East and North Africa Retail Banking and Wealth Management regional head Francesca McDonagh said the partnership intends to ensure full protection of customers across their full range of insurance needs.
''Customers will find it easy to access the right insurance solution through multiple HSBC channels,'' McDonagh added.
The agreement further expands HSBC's relationship with Zurich in the region following signing of the ten-year contract covering distribution of latter's Life Insurance products in UAE, Qatar and Bahrain, in April 2012.
