German automaker BMW Group has expanded its sports car line-up with the launch of its new BMW M4 Convertible at the New York International Auto Show 2014.
The new vehicle resembles the company's new BMW M3 Sedan and and the new BMW M4 Coupe.
BMW M4 Convertible is powered by 3.0L straight-six engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine offers 431 HP and 550 Nm of torque.
It is also available with an optional 7-speed M double-clutch transmission and can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
According to the company, the new vehicle offers fuel consumption of 9.1L-8.7L/100km along with CO2 emissions of 213-203g/km.
Recently, the luxury carmaker announced that it will invest $1bn to expand the production capacity at its Spartanburg plant in South Carolina by 2016. The new expansion will see the production of BMW X7 at this plant.
