Ezz Steel, the largest steelmaker in Egypt posted net profits of EGP 205.61 million for the first half of this year, rising by 11.3%.
In the first half of this year, the firm realized sales revenues of EGP10.305 billion, soaring by 10.4% year on year.
It's learned that Ezz Steel has received the approval for its direct reduced iron plant recently and the annual production capacity from its subsidiaries hit 5.8 million tons.
Meanwhile, the firm predicted that Egypt's s steel demand would rise by 5% in 2013.
