Ashley Licensee Has Opened a New Warehouse to Support Its Seven Stores

Ashley Furniture HomeStores licensee Factory Direct of Secaucus has opened a new warehouse here to support its seven stores in metro New York and New Jersey.

Factory Direct, led by owner and President Eugene Chrinian, built the 162,000-square-foot facility at 3025 Woodbridge Av. from the ground up, intent creating "a more efficient process for both the company and its customers," according to a release.

It replaces a former warehouse and also includes a 2,500-square-foot clearance center and the retailer's new headquarters, home to its human resources, customer support, finance and merchandising employees.

The building is located off the New Jersey Turnpike, allowing for efficiency in deliveries from the warehouse, as well as easy access for customers to pick up merchandise or to visit the clearance center

"We understand how important a furniture purchase is, and the delivery experience has to be seamless," Chrinian said. "This new facility greatly improves our receiving and preparation process in all aspects, giving the customer's new furniture pieces the care and handling it deserves."

The company declined to disclose its investment, saying only that it was "significant," in an email to Furniture/Today.

Factory Direct's HomeStores are located in in Fairfield, Secaucus and Paramus, N.J., and Nanuet, New Rochelle, Poughkeepsie and Middletown, N.Y. The retailer said its stores are "some of the highest volume stores," in the dedicated HomeStores network of more than 460 stores.
