Honda has started selling its Grace hybrid compact sedan in Japan which is designed to provide enhanced fuel economy.
The car is powered by Honda's SPORT HYBRID i-DCD (intelligent Dual Clutch Driv) motor which combines a 1.5L Atkinson cycle DOHC i-VTEC engine, 7-speed DCT with built-in high-output motor and the IPU with a built-in lithium-ion battery.
The hybrid system will facilitate driver to start in EV mode which will provide fuel economy of 34.4 km/L.
On the interior the vehicle features spacious cabin and has redesigned instrument panel, sofa like seats, Air conditioning outlet for the rear seat occupants, and trunk space with a capacity of 430L, while on the exterior, the company has added a long wheelbase, enlarged rear doors, long hood to the Grace.
To give the vehicle a wider look, Honda has used "Solid Wing Face" which is a combination of the front grille and 4-lamp LED headlights.
Grace features Advanced Compatibility Engineering for passenger safety which will come with G-Force Control Technology designed to make the vehicle less aggressive to other vehicles in the event of a collision.
It also features Pedestrian Injury Mitigation Body structure which is expected to to absorb the impact of a collision.
