German automotive part supplier Hella has designed two-part LED tail lamps recently for Renault Espace, the fifth generation French crossover unveiled as ‘Initiale Paris’ concept car at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The tail lamps, which are divided into two sections, claim to provide a unique appearance, when turn signals are activated.
Each LED light has an auxiliary lens with clear and brushed coatings described by Renault as 'ice cube' design.
The two-part LED rear lamps are also marked with chrome inlays which extends across both parts. They sport an elegant, jet-black lacquer while the rear lamps blend with the vehicle's overall exterior design.
The tail lights are said to highlight overall appearance of the crossover by passing through the entire lamp in a curved line.
With a workforce of 30,000 across 100 units in over 35 countries, Hella designs lighting technology and makes electronic components and systems for the automotive industry. It is also one of the largest retail firms for automotive parts, accessories, diagnostics, and services within Europe.
With over 6,000 people working in research and development, Hella is one of the most important innovation drivers on the market. The company has posted preliminary sales of around €5.8bn in 2014-15.
