Plastic packaging company ITC Packaging, a part of Grupo ITC, has designed new propylene packaging for Italian food company Buitoni’s product line, completissimo.
The microwavable individual-portion pack features materials with organoleptic properties that keep up the integrity of the food and enable pasteurization while the food is in the microwave.
According to ITC, the product has been designed according to the 'ready to use' concept: the food can be mixed and eaten within a single aseptic jar contained within the packaging and the spoon provided.
The pack, which is suitable for subsequent use in the consumer's microwave, also includes a combination spoon-fork that allows consumers to eat the product straight from the pack.
