British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin has unveiled the new CC100 Speedster concept sports car at ADAC Zurich 24 Hours of Nürburgring race in Germany.
Based on the carmaker's earlier DBR1 sports car, the new concept is powered by a 6.0L V12 gasoline engine, which is mated to a six-speed hydraulically actuated automated sequential manual transmission.
The new AM11engine is expected to generate an output of 500hp and would allow the sports concept to sprint from 0-62mph in four seconds, while achieving a top speed of about 180mph.
Additionally, the power will be transferred to the rear wheels via steering column-mounted paddle shifts, which will allow sporting changes that suit the concept's track-focused nature.
The new concept has been designed and built by Aston Martin in collaboration with supplier Multimatic at its global headquarters in Gaydon, UK.
