It is reported that the Italian government will meet in Rome the representatives of Ilva, local Institutional Authorities, Trade Unions and Industrial Association.
Yesterday afternoon the President of the Republic, Mr Giorgio Napolitano met the Italian Prime Minister Mr Mario Monti. The main topic of the meeting has been the possibility or better to say the need of issuing a Governmental Decree that will convert the AIA (Environmental Impact Authorization issued by the Minister of Environment during last September) into a law, with the legal consequence that the attorney will have to withdraw the confiscation order.
Following the example of the French government that is threatening ArcelorMittal, some political parties are suggesting that, after having solved the emergency situation, Ilva should be nationalized.
