US based automotive supplier Cooper Standard is planning to introduce its new global Performance Products Group at the upcoming 2012 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) to be held in Las Vegas during 29 October to 01 November 2012.
The new group incorporates the earlier businesses of StanPro in North America, Metzeler Technical Rubber Products and Specialty Products Group in Europe and Tecalemit in Australia in a bid to meet the global rise in sectors close to the light vehicle market.
A new leadership team from Cooper Standard will supervise the new group and will be focussed on future growth opportunities in the aftermarket, in addition to other major areas including commercial vehicle, off-highway, power sports, marine, construction and other markets.
Cooper Standard chief financial officer and Performance Products Group executive champion Allen Campbell said the rise of non-traditional markets of the firm creates an excellent opportunity for the company to leverage its technical capabilities to provide more solutions to this segment of customers.
"For example, as the commercial truck market grows in emerging markets there will be an increased demand for improved comfort and performance," Campbell said.
"With the formation of our Performance Products Group, Cooper Standard now has the infrastructure to effectively and efficiently meet this demand."
During the expo, the firm will display sealing systems, thermal and emissions systems, fluid delivery systems, anti-vibration systems, sheeting, industrial lubrication and workshop equipment.
