Foodservice packaging products manufacturer Lollicup USA has commenced the production of disposable plastic cups at its facility in Chino, California.
Following this, the company will begin distributing Karat line of 'Made-in-USA' cups to its customers. Production of paper cold cups is expected to take place in June.
The 300,300ft2 facility, which features automated high-speed German equipment, is said to allow the company to manufacture around one million cups per day. The facility also houses the company's offices, distribution, and a new production plant.
Lollicup USA co-founder, president and CEO said due to increasing demand for American-made products, the company has moved manufacturing from Asia to the US.
"More and more companies are bringing manufacturing back, and more and more consumers are looking for American-made products," CEO added.
