British luxury carmaker Jaguar is set to introduce a new 2015 XE model equipped with supercharged 3.0L V6 engine, which is currently being used in the F-type sports car family.
In March 2014, the luxury carmaker announced that it will produce an all-new mid-size sports sedan, the Jaguar XE.
Jaguar XE will include the new advanced aluminum architecture that the company unveiled in the C-X17 concept car in 2013.
The V6 engine offers 335 BHP and 325 lb ft of torque in V6 convertible guise. It can accelerate to 60mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 161mph and is claimed to produce CO2 emissions of 205g/km.
Jaguar spokesman was quoted by autocar.co.uk as saying that the power unit would be offered, and that further details would be released ahead of the XE going on sale.
To be available for sale in 2015, the new vehicle will be introduced as a rival to the BMW 3-series model.
